Joe Camp is Safety Services Manager with SMART Safety Gulf Coast and located in Atlanta, GA with the Southeast Region. Joe is a Board Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management & Insurance from Georgia State University.
Joe has over 15 years experience in safety management across a number of industries that include construction, contracting, power plants, nuclear facilities, manufacturing, HVAC, sheet metal and pipe fabrication to name a few. He has developed and implemented effective Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies, practices and procedures that elevated workforce and worksite safety protection, awareness and performance. Joe has also developed Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPP) and responded to environmental incidents. He has provided extensive Health & Safety Training that increased workforce safety knowledge and skills leading to a more proactive safety culture.
Joe provides extensive safety and support services to SMART’s clients across the Southeast U.S. including developing safety policies and manuals, conducting jobsite safety audits, providing 24/7 incident response, developing health & safety training materials and conducting training classes, performing supervisor/superintendent meetings, implementing jobsite safety corrective actions, maintaining OSHA compliance, coaching workforce personnel, conducting fleet & driver safety observations and audits and leading client safety business meetings.
