Scot Burchardt is Safety Services Manager at SMART Safety Gulf Coast and located in Baton Rouge, LA with the Gulf Coast Region. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business & Marketing from Mississippi State University.
Scot is a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS) and holds OSHA 10 General Industry Certification and OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 Construction Certification. He also earned OSHA 500 and 510 authorizations by the OSHA Training Institute (OTI) Education Centers for construction safety training.
Scot has extensive experience across a variety of industries including construction, manufacturing, chemical, power and refining to name a few. His safety expertise includes first aid, confined space training, hazwoper 40 hour, trenching & excavation competent person, NFPA-70E arc flash training, scaffold inspection competent person, accident/incident investigation, LOTO, hazmat, hazcom, fall protection, aerial lift and fire watch.
Scot has daily activities and responsibilities that include maintaining workforce and worksite safety, developing Jobsite Hazard Analysis (JHA) and mitigation methods, jobsite safety audits and corrective actions, health and safety training and organizing and leading safety business and field supervisor meetings for a large number of SMART Safety Gulf Coast client’s.
